Recently decided that I needed to light a fire under my butt to get more serious about my health and fitness …. so I decided to make some goals …

Still formulating the short and longer term plans and goals for my health and fitness, but I have committed to myself to set a Picture Day. The next Joe Abs Picture Day is December 1st.

That means I have less than 90 days to get ready to take some shirtless pictures. It also means that I have some serious work to do to overcome the 60 year old “dad bod” that I have acquired during the past year while living in Waikiki and not being very serious or consistent about my health, diet (Live It) and fitness.

It’s about to get real … Actually, in my own head, it already has. I’ve started daily workouts and cardio, but just kind of getting back into it and building up strength while being rather gentle with all my body parts that are still coming back from my year of five surgeries in 2020.

I’m going to see if I can find an old photo of Joe Abs that I can post here for posterity – and something to aspire to … OK – not a great photo – from November 9, 2017 when we were still living in Carmel Valley (San Diego) and Ava Kalea was just over a year old. Happy times – that’s when I got to be a Stay at Home Dad ….
